Hi!  I'm Shana, and I'm passionate about knowledge and wisdom, beauty and creativity.

 

The name of my company comes from Hortus Deliciarum (Garden of Delights), an illuminated encyclopedia finished in 1185 and apparently the first to be written by a woman.  “Philosophy and the Seven Liberal Arts” (Philosophia et septem artes liberales) is one of the most famous illustrations from the encyclopedia.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I love the arts and sciences, and I find the classical liberal arts a useful construct for intentionally pursuing knowledge and cultivating creativity.
